LUSH x ASOS: the collaboration I needed all this time

0

When I heard that LUSH was moving to ASOS, I thought it was great, but how?

I went to the biggest LUSH store in the world and got dizzy from the amount of products, were they all putting them on ASOS?

Well no. They are not. But they have an exclusive bath bomb and pre-made sets for such reasonable prices that you could have your bathroom filled with LUSH goodies for a lot less than you think.

I had the chance to try out some of the ASOS LUSH collection, and honestly? I was dazzled.

With big curly hair, sensitive skin, and a general love of baths, I had faith but was a little worried if the products would really live up to my expectations.

They did it.

Great for big hair – £ 18.50

The Best for Big Hair Discovery Bundle blew me away, each item performing better than I expected

I have curly hair, I’d say it was 3b for those of us who know the scale – but I also have a pretty dry scalp which we all know can lead to dandruff.

As I browsed the range at ASOS and saw the Big Hair Discovery Set, I couldn’t help but get excited. I’ve tried so many different hair products and shampoos over the years to find the right balance for the curls and scalp – could that be it?

I started with the Roots treatment (100g), parted my curls and rubbed the treatment into the itchy scalp on my head. It didn’t take long for me to feel it start to do something – but I left it on for the recommended 20 minutes while I took a bath.

Shampoo looked a bit odd but gives a decadent home hair experience

After the time was up, I soaked my hair to try Big Shampoo (75g). I thought it looked a bit disgusting at first … The salt crystals make it look pretty gooey and disgusting.

But wow – feeling the salt dissolving as I rubbed it through my hair and onto my scalp made my evening feel very luxurious.

American Cream Conditioner (100g) had a sweet strawberry scent and left my hair silky smooth afterwards. Having curls I sometimes find conditioners don’t work as well as I hoped after washing (I’m a big fan of leave-in conditioners), but my comb slipped through my hair afterwards, leaving me very impressed.

I will definitely invest in it again once I finish these tubs, this discovery set is really great for voluminous hair.

Discovery set Best for Dream Skin lush x asos
The Best for Dream Skin set left my skin so smooth and soft

I have fairly sensitive skin (which can be quite embarrassing at times) but I am a big fan of an indulgent bath and an evening to pamper myself.

The Best for Dream Skin discovery set turned out to be quite perfect.

Coming with my favorite Lush bath bomb, the Butterball, I had a feeling it was going to be a hit – I was even more impressed when trying the rest of the products.

The Dream Cream lotion left my skin super soft

The 100g block of Sultana of Soap was one item I wasn’t sure about – I find soaps can make my skin very dry – but it was awesome. My skin felt really soft after use, although it was strange for a sultana to fall out while I was using it.

After wiping off, I used Dream Cream Lotion (45g) on my arms. I knew I had a panel appearance the next day so I didn’t want to risk a big reaction if it didn’t suit my skin.

But it was lovely, the smell was sweet and made me feel like I walked into a Lush store. The next day my skin was still soft, the folks at ASOS making these discovery sets really know what they’re doing.

LUSH X ASOS Exclusive Bath Bomb Duo Set – € 10

Lush x Asos White Noise Bath Bomb
ASOS Exclusive Bath Bomb allows for a beautiful bath

The question that preoccupies us all: What does the new Lush bath bomb look like? It’s called White Noise and it’s lovely.

White Noise leaves your bath water a glittery pale blue which made me feel good.

The blue, silver and white bath bomb has a sweet scent of cedarwood oil, Sicilian red mandarin oil and patchouli oil.

Leaving a bit of glitter in its wake, it’s a lovely bathing experience – I don’t particularly appreciate those that let petals float in the water, so I was quite impressed.

The set of two bath bombs also includes the classic Intergalactic Lush which uses peppermint oil, grapefruit oil, vetiver oil and cedarwood oil to create its scent. signature.

I like to spend an evening taking a bath and that’s definitely one way to do it.

You can get your hands on the exclusive new bath bomb here.

Now, I know not everyone has hair and skin like mine, and it turns out the team behind the Lush and ASOS collaboration are too. There are discovery sets for locs, fair skin, and bed preparation.

One great thing about Discovery Sets is that you don’t have to dig through all of the different products, you get a few carefully selected for the task at hand.

I know I’m going straight to ASOS for the sets from now on – you can purchase the full line here.
