Honasa Consumer Pvt. (HCPL), parent company of Mamaearth, announced on Monday that it has acquired Bblunt, a brand of hair care, color and styling products from Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), as well as Bblunt salons operated by Bhabani Blunt Hair Dressing Pvt . . ltd.
Separately, Godrej Consumer Products said in a regulatory filing that it would receive a total of Rs 84.5 crore from the divestiture business.
Bblunt’s hair care and styling products business will be wholly owned and operated by Honasa Consumer Pvt. However, the Bblunt salon business will continue to operate as an independent entity, with Adhuna Bhabani, Osh Bhabani and Avan Contractor as creative directors and Spoorthy Shetty as CEO.
