Selsun Blue Maker Buyer Settles Irritating Shampoo Claims


Law360 (June 1, 2021, 5:52 p.m. EDT) – A consumer and Sanofi-Aventis told an Illinois federal judge on Friday that they had agreed to end litigation over claims that maximum strength Selsun Blue dandruff shampoos of the company contain chemical compounds that can further worsen scalp problems and cause hair loss.

According to a dismissal stipulation filed in federal court in Illinois, named plaintiff and Illinois consumer Emily Lewis will be dismissed with prejudice. Because no class has ever been certified, any putative class claim is rejected without prejudice.

Details of the settlement were not immediately available on Tuesday.
